The biggest problem will be the hard disk controller drivers. Even then some devices will not work until the correct drivers are installed/updated. If you get everything in place and the system boots to Windows, you will be one of the lucky ones. That could (and probably will) change when replacing the motherboard. The problem is the installed copy of Windows has drivers installed for your current hardware setup. If your primary hard disk drive is still in working condition, you MAY be fine installing a new system board.
